Yeah, actually, I answered your question. You asked if there was work, I told you there was for inmates, and if there's a supervisory position you'll have to ask around. New facilities crop up all the time and if you have an idea for barge improvement and work you can always as the admiral.

PS: Sassing someone's who's been here a year and a half to your less than a month when he's trying to be helpful? Not bright.

If you want to teach something, ask for a classroom in the annexe, and put up a notice and ask around on the barge. We've got a lot of youth here and some older who need help.

Bruce Banner's the guy to contact if you want to do anything medical - but you have to be a medically trained warden to work the infirmary, uh... Engine room is me and Barbara these days and we got that pretty well squared away, Dean's got maintenance, Ned's got the pub, Chromie the library...

Have you got any medical training? The infirmary's the one place we always need more wardens, since somebody's supposed to be on-call all the time and we can't leave the inmates alone with the drugs and scalpels and stuff.

Just enough to put pressure on things, I'm afraid. Certainly not on xenobiology levels.

You could swing by for lessons, if you want. Morgana and I are still learning a lot of the formal stuff, since we just heal with our powers. Even if Bruce never certifies you, it's good to know.

What kind of martial arts do they teach on Gallifrey?

Well, I'm taught to subdue others of my kind. Though with the new alien students, we learned other techniques. The general idea that is to calm and subdue rather than inflict permanent damage.

[Her nod is thoughtful.] Reminds me of Aikido. [Including Iris' Venusian version, of course.]

You know it?

A bit. My main style is Eskrima, though - weapon-based. But I do try to immobilise before anything else. [...Usually.]

What kind of weapon?

Anything I can get my hands on, but primarily... [She reaches down, hands sliding beneath her seat. She stores more weapons in her chair than she really needs to, but she knows exactly where her sticks are. It's only a second before she slides them out, the dark steel balancing in her palms.]

They're traditionally made of wood, but I like steel.
